This event is a fun, community redpoint style climbing competition. Our mission each and every year is to provide a great experience for out members and locals of all skill levels. If you are coming from out of town we want to warmly welcome you. All comp questions can be directed to Staff@urbanaboulders.com

NOTE: Participation is capped at 175 competitors. Early registration is encouraged to secure a spot. BBC has SOLD OUT the past 6 Years. Sign up early.

Categories

Redpoint CATEGORIES

Men/Women/Non-Binary/Youth 12 and under

Recreational – “V1-V3”
Intermediate – “V3-V5”
Advanced – “V5-V7”
Open – V7+
Stone Masters – 40+ years old

BONEMASTERs Division

Total points division

Men/Women/Non-Binary


*All divisions subject to change.

** You may change your division on Event Day based on event instructions but we would like to know your general inclination in ordder to distribute participants evenly between Session’s 1 and 2

*** Your division should be selected based on your “general sessioning maximum” at Urbana Boulders. If you need help selecting an appropriate category, that assistance will be available on competition day. Don’t over think it. If you’re climbing way above the your selected division, you’ll be bumped up a division. We hope your satisfaction comes by challenging yourself and friends.

2025 Spectators and Viewing

Due to our extremely limited space we are charging $10 for all spectators and guardians. There are just too many people for the event every year and we want to prioritize the competitors and the UB Community. Note that this ticket does not include any competitor perks or T-shirt.

WAIVER

All participants are required to complete a UB/BB Gym waiver prior to the day of the competition. If you have not ever completed a UB/BB waiver, or are unsure, please take a moment to fill one out HERE. If you are under the age of 18, your waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.

 
 

VOLUNTEER

A big thanks to the dozens of volunteers who make the Cup possible! All volunteers receive an official BBC T-shirt, Volunteer roles include judging, festival assistance, scoring, set up, and teardown.
